I love Mushrooms, despite of what I saw on TV on how they made Mushrooms;it didn’t stopped me from eating and loving it! As always I experiment on making a Sautéed Mushroom a year ago and my family loved it… and most especially me. So every time I cook some steaks they always demand for my Sautéed Mushroom. Yesterday I broiled some steaks because I was so craving for it and of course, my Sautéed Mushroom was a hit as usual.. I usually eyeball the ingredients but I just put in the measurement as a guide. Always taste until you reach the desired taste u like.So here’s the recipe that I want to share with u!

Ingredients:

1 or 2 packages of any kind of mushroom of your choice ( I used regular mushroom coz that’s what i got in my fridge I usually go for Portabello), sliced and rinsed

1 small red onion, sliced

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp. Olive oil

About 3 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce

About 3 tbsp. Sherry Cooking Wine

Procedure:

1. Heat oil and drop in Mushrooms, let it cook for 3 min. Stir in garlic and onions and cook for another 4 min.

2. Add Worcestershire Sauce and let it cook until the bubbly. Stir once in a while.

3. When the sauce thickens and almost dry , pour in Sherry and cook for 3-5 min. Stir 2-3 times.

4. Let it sit for 3 minutes letting the mushroom take all the sauce. Transfer to platter and serve. I usually put some in top of my steak.

My kids love Chocolate Pancake. If I make a big breakfast, I make a point to make them some. I got this recipe in one of the Church’s Recipe book I purchased from a book fair. My kids love it so much and they just can’t stop eating it. Try it sometimes and let me know if you like it.

Ingredients:

1/2 stick Butter

1 1/4 c. Flour

1 c. Milk

1 tbsp. Baking Powder

1 tbsp. Sugar

1/4 tsp. salt

2 eggs

1 c. Chocolate Chip

1/4 tsp. Vanilla Extract

Procedure:

1. Combine the butter and the milk in a small saucepan over med-low heat. Heat until the butter is melted and cool slightly away from heat.

2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Mix well.

3. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs until fully incorporated. Whisk in vanilla extract & the milk mixture. Add the dry ingredients and mix until blended but still with lumps. Fold in Chocolate Chip and mix.

4. Rub oil all over the griddle and melt 1 tbsp. butter until bubbly. Pour 1/4 cup batter into the hot griddle/skillet. Cook until bubbly on top, flip and cook until golden brown. Repeat process until all batter is gone. Decorate and serve with a syrup of your choice.

I have found sites and posts but mostly others have commented that it was a waste of time and ingredients by following the recipe posted; so I didn’t bother to try it. I found the recipe in Jodeli pro-boards and I copied it; unfortunately I was the unlucky ones who fell for the wrong recipe. It called for little time for the yeast to bubble. I had doubt then. I have made pandesal before and the yeast has to have a lot of bubbles before adding something into it. Next is that rising time for flour is not enough at all. Usually you have to wait at least 2 hours to rise but since I am trying to follow the stupid recipe . It never doubled the size!!! I even went to 2 grocery stores and when I came back to the house, the size was still the same! So I continued anyway.. I rolled, knead and all that other fun stuff. Despite doubts I form the dough into coil and baked it for 15 minutes just like what the site says… I checked on it and baked it again coz it wasn’t done.. 30 minutes after and the bottoms were start to burn so I took ‘em out the outsides were done but it was doughy inside. I was so disappointed .. I wasted all that time and ingredients. despite doubts I followed the wrong recipe..I even bought Edam Cheese or mostly known as Queso de-Bola. wahhh I got punked! I still couldn’t find any recipe for Ensaymada that I want to try. I hope that you can share some with me? Anyway here are some of the pictures I took while making it. If you have the RIGHT Ensaymada recipe kindly share it with me please:).
